Soundwave Revolution 11

Well, they haven’t failed to disappoint us with this years Soundwave Revolution 11, with an equally exciting line-up as last year!

This year we have the legendary Alice Cooper, Danzig & Machine Head. David Lee Roth will be performing with Van Halen, and we’ll be seeing Sisters of Mercy, Panic! at the Disco, Versa Emerge and more!

Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest

The Channel Seven Mandurah Crab Fest is two fantastic days of celebration around Mandurah’s wonderful waterways, taking place on March 12 and 13.

This year’s event is set to be the biggest and best ever with a host of new features to make this an even more fantastic family event.

A major highlight of the festival will be the Mandurah Action Sports Games, where some of Australia’s most talented stars of Freestyle Motocross, wake boarding, skate boarding and BMX riding will come together to battle for some of the $20,000 prize money up for grabs.

To add to the excitement there’ll also be a fantastic music line up featuring WA’s best up and coming talent including the Novocaines and Abbe May.

Queensland Floods

The situation in Queensland has been too dynamic to be too accurate when blogging. Some towns were suffering their first flood, some were reliving the pain with a second flood. Some are still watching weather reports of cylcone activity with concern.

Over 80 communities across Queensland have been affected by flooding, covering an area bigger than France and Germany combined, with some towns hit more than twice by floodwaters. Floods hit the farming and mining belt near Brisbane hard, cutting road and rail links & crippling the region’s all-important coal production. Bundaberg‘s port was closed to all shipping & Rockhampton‘s airport shut over the weekend.

Australia Floods

We’ve been absent from blogging for a while because we have been building our new website, but we had to break the silence to blog about recent events in Australia.

The eyes of the world have been on the flooding in Australia, Brazil & Sri Lanka. In Australia it actually started some time before Christmas up top and is still occurring. One of the explanations for the occurrance has been the warmer ocean waters & a strong El Nina. However, whatever the reason, a large part of Australia has endured a beating lately culminating in what are now call the Australian Floods.
